Ranykemet (Egyptian) Grammar

Ranykemet (Egyptian) Grammar: A 16 week online scheduled study course with email help and support. You will also have access to weekly live interaction sessions with the teacher and fellow students.
The Ranykemet (Egyptian) Grammar Course is an advance study course to the Ancient Egyptian writing system indigenously known as Sesh Medew Netcher and the Ancient Egyptian language indigenously known as Ranykemet.  The content of this course is complementary to the text book “Ancient Egyptian Orthography & Grammar.” Students will have in-session reading practice, homework, and group assignments to enhance student learning and interaction. Students will learn information beyond the beginner’s level by gaining proficiency all aspects of the grammar (morphology and syntax) demonstrating that successful language acquisition requires knowledge of its grammar. Students will also learn the interconnection between language and culture. Spiritual practitioners will enhance their experience gaining skills to consult primary source materials.

  • Completion of The Beginner’s Introduction to Egyptian Hieroglyphic OR if you are an autodidact or learned through another study course, you must successfully pass the beginner’s level Proficiency Exam.

Upon completion of the lessons, there is a final Certification Exam along with an essay. The final exam is designed to test your knowledge and see to it that you have suitable proficiency with the lessons. The essay requires you to transliterate and translate one of the available pictures of primary Kemety inscriptions and give a full analysis of its grammar.
